How do we move evidence-based psychological treatments beyond research settings and into everyday clinical care? What kind of training, supervision, and professional development actually supports sustainable implementation in real-world mental health services?

We invite you to a seminar exploring current perspectives on education, implementation, and workforce development in psychiatry and mental health care. Monday 7th of September, 10:00-12.00, Elite Hotel Carolina Tower

The programme begins with a series of short presentations from researchers at the Centre for Psychiatry Research (CPF), highlighting ongoing work on training, supervision, implementation, and clinician development across psychiatric services.

The main seminar will be led by Dr Rinad Beidas, Professor and Chair of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University. She has been identified as one of the top ten implementation scientists in the U.S. and is co-Editor-in-Chief of the flagship journal for the field, Implementation Science. Drawing on her work at the intersection of implementation science, clinical psychology, and workforce training, Dr Beidas will discuss key challenges and future directions in translating evidence-based care into community practice. The session will also include time for discussion and exchange.
