Towards health equity – global insights and Swedish experiences

Join us for a half-day seminar exploring how health equity can be advanced in Sweden and globally. Guided by recommendations from WHO’s 2025 landmark report on the social determinants of health, the event brings together researchers, policymakers, and experts for keynote presentations, panel and group discussions, and a networking lunch.
Programme highlights include:
- Keynote: Global Launch Highlights & Findings from the 2025 WHO world report on social determinants of health equity, presented by Sudhvir Singh, global lead for Equity and Health, WHO.
- Keynote: Health Equity in Sweden, Olivia Wigzell, Director General, Public Health Agency of Sweden
- Panel: Health Inequities in Sweden across the lifecourse and across sectors – what can and should be done? Confirmed speakers include Line Gordon, Professor Sustainability Science and Director, Stockholm Resilience Centre, Margareta Kristensson, Professor Social Medicine and Public Health Sciences, Linköping University, Mårten Palme, Professor of Economics Stockholm University, and Stefan Swartling Peterson, Professor Global Transformation for Health, Karolinska Institutet
- Beehive discussions in small groups, followed by a moderated dialogue and open Q&A with all panelists
- Networking lunch
