Beskrivning av forskningsprojektet:
The project aims to investigate how treatment preference, fidelity, and comprehension, viewed from both patient and therapist perspectives, impact treatment outcomes and adherence in internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Specifically, the project will examine how these factors moderate the effects of two distinct ICBT treatments based on different theoretical models explaining the maintenance of GAD symptoms: the intolerance of uncertainty model and the metacognitive model. While evidence suggests both treatments are similarly effective at reducing GAD symptoms at group level, this project will explore whether individual patient differences in treatment preference and comprehension, as well as therapist competence and fidelity, influence treatment outcomes.
