Scott O. Lilienfeld is a professor of psychology at Emory University and will give a Stockholm Psychiatry Lecture titled "Beneath the Mask: The Search for Successful Psychopathy".

In this talk, Dr. Lilienfeld will examine the nature of this scientific controversy and discuss recent research from his laboratory suggesting that a constellation of traits associated with psychopathy, namely boldness, may sometimes be tied to adaptive behaviors. He will also examine the possibility that boldness and similar traits may be something of a "double-edged sword," perhaps promoting successful outcomes in certain cases but unsuccessful outcomes in others .
