Welcome to the February JC in Psychiatry, hosted by CPF.
At this JC, we will discuss an article that focuses on cardiometabolic risk in first-episode schizophrenia spectrum disorders and its relationship to illness duration and antipsychotic treatment duration. The fact that individuals with schizophrenia have high cardiovascular morbidity and mortality is well established. However, risk status and moderators or mediators in the earliest stages of illness are less clear.
JC will be led by Anna Malmqvist, Doctoral candidate, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Karolinska Institutet.
Senior researcher attending: Sophie Erhardt, Associate Professor, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Karolinska Institutet.
Sandwich and coffee will be available at the venue from 8:15 am.
Doctoral students get points for participating in JC's.
